12:12am

I watch seagulls fly against the wind

And wonder whether God would send

His breath against a being strong

To teach her just where she went wrong

She'll toss and turn up in the sky

I wonder how she stays so high

But in the trouble she descends

Upheaval brings her down again

Waves are crashing on the sand

They fall just to begin again

Waves are crashing on the sand

They fall just to begin again

If ticking clocks and passing days

Can hit us hard like crashing waves

We'll fall and break and die once more

And rise anew as something pure

Waves are crashing on the sand

They fall just to begin again

Waves are crashing on the sand

They fall just to begin again

Where Do I Start?

Where do I start

Can I begin

I spin the wheel round again

And pray to God the spinning ends

Cuz time will kill us all, my friends

These broken dreams have tender wings

Too young to fly, too strong to die

The siren sings to ease the pain

That never did a thing but say,

"You can't escape me anyway

No matter how you hide or pray"

These broken dreams have tender wings

Too young to fly, too strong to die

A silver cape and shiny lights

Will always drag me out at night

But maybe just stay in and try

To sit alone beside your life

These broken dreams have tender wings

Too young to fly, too strong to die

But if you take the time, you see

Hold it close and let it breathe

The circle will begin again

A life that starts will never end

These mended dreams with golden wings

Will reach so high for you and I

So free your mind and lose the spite

Retrace your path and set it right

When We Taste the Truth

The hustle and bustle

A violent flow

Of distant lovers...

We'll never know

How to sit silent

In a crowded room

Or dance heart forward

With their eyes on you

The comfort is blinding

When we're breaking thru

But the pain will cower

When we taste the truth

Lose It All

We fly, we fall

We lose it all

And so begin again

A little less than sane this time

The valley pulls us in

The birds up high

Are not like I

My feet are planted still

I reach my hands into the sky

And dive into the ocean wide

This Skin

This skin, this skin

It holds us in

Yet lets us touch the wind

The light that shines

Behind our eyes

Glows patiently within

To meet the outside world

It waits...

To find its long-lost kin

That lies within the depths of all

Who don't know where to begin
