For Those Hearts That Can Choose

How come people you never thought you'd know

Know exactly who you are?

They read your mind a long time ago

And we both feel the scars

They say that empathy is a saintly thing

And we all know it's true

I commit the murder right next to you

And I feel the guilt too

I die like the death in you

While I follow your muse

She'll rise with the breath in me

And whisper the truth

The crooked stall that we all avoid

In the corner that turned dark

Spoken words written on the wall

Of homeless men in the park

I die like the death in you

While I follow your muse

She'll rise with the breath in me

And whisper the truth

Peace is far but hope's near

For those hearts that can choose

To bare their own pain

While they love others too

I die like the death in you

While I follow your muse

She'll rise with the breath in me

And whisper the truth
