The Lost Boys
Always
Are earth dwellers
With heads up in the sky
They will long for
Merry mermaids
To sing them lullabies
For Mother Mary
Left a fairy
In their soft and broken
Hearts
The soul departed
Never guarded
As it should be
From the start
But fairies speak
The wildest wonders
And they shine
The whole night through
Lost boys and girls
Should listen
To the light
That’s ever true
Cuz there are mothers
There are fathers
There are mermaids
There are brothers
There are sisters
There are daughters
There are sons
That dwell inside
Nature is a doozy
For none but human-kind
But stories, they will show us
All we’ve left behind
